Welcome to Maple Mountain Mental Health & Wellness residential treatment center, at the base of Utah’s Maple Mountain. We welcome you to our healing environment, free of the distractions of daily life, where you can focus completely on your health and wellness.
Our residential treatment program invites you to our facility. Residential care can be highly effective if you are struggling with addictions or mental health issues—and outpatient care hasn’t helped. This may also include complex trauma from prolonged abuse, childhood trauma, or repeated interpersonal violence. We provide intensive, structured, and immersive care in a safe, supportive environment.
A valuable element of residential care is the opportunity to live with others who are experiencing their own struggles as well. This reduces your sense of isolation and fosters healing through shared experiences.
At Maple Mountain we employ evidence-based therapies combined with holistic healing approaches all in our residential center.
The Bio Sound Lounge is designed to greatly reduce anxiety. With audio and visual equipment, the Lounge offers a calming and meditative environment. A variety of binaural beats and other soothing sounds can be played, accompanied by images of nature and other calming scenes. At any given time during the thirty minute treatment, there is a minimum of at least five subliminal activities happening simultaneously. The vibrations help to stimulate the body’s natural relaxation response.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy helps process traumatic memories by using bilateral stimulation (eye movements, taps, or sounds) to reduce distress and reframe negative beliefs. Effective for PTSD and trauma.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a highly effective, rapid, evidence-based treatment for trauma, anxiety, and depression. Using eye movements and visualization, it reprograms distressing memories in just 1–5 sessions. Unlike traditional therapy, ART minimizes verbal retelling, reducing emotional distress while achieving lasting relief and also provides an opportunity to replace disturbing visual triggers with something pleasant.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) combines low-dose ketamine with psychotherapy to enhance emotional processing and neuroplasticity. It’s used for treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and anxiety, accelerating breakthroughs by reducing defensive barriers under guided therapeutic support.
Neurofeedback trains the brain to self-regulate by providing real-time feedback on brainwave activity. Through operant conditioning, individuals learn to modify neural patterns, improving focus, reducing stress, and enhancing cognitive function. It’s non-invasive and personalized.
At Maple Mountain, you have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of experiential activities including hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, and art therapy.
Equine therapy uses interactions with horses to promote emotional growth, physical skills, and mental well-being. Through grooming, riding, and groundwork, participants build trust, confidence, and communication, aiding in trauma recovery, disabilities, or stress relief.
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice inducing deep relaxation while maintaining awareness. Often called “yogic sleep,” it systematically relaxes body and mind, reducing stress, enhancing clarity, and promoting healing through conscious rest.
At Maple Mountain you can experience a full spectrum of care beyond our therapy sessions and experiential activities.
Functional Medicine focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness, not just symptoms. It uses personalized, systems-based approaches—integrating nutrition, lifestyle, and advanced testing—to restore balance and promote whole-body healing. Emphasizing patient-centered care, it blends modern science with holistic practices for optimal wellness.
Personalized nutrition for mental health tailors dietary recommendations to individual needs, addressing nutrient deficiencies, gut health, and genetic factors. These plans optimize brain function, reduce inflammation, and support emotional well-being through targeted, science-backed nutrition strategies.
A typical day in residential treatment includes structured routines with therapy (individual, group, and family sessions), medication management, and holistic activities (yoga, art, or mindfulness). Nutritious meals, peer support, and downtime for reflection are prioritized. Staff provide 24/7 care, ensuring safety and progress. The schedule balances therapeutic work with self-care, fostering recovery in a supportive, controlled environment.
Handling co-occurring disorders (mental health + substance use) involves integrated treatment:
