Set Yourself Up for Successful Treatment

Opening up to someone about struggles or traumatic experiences can be hard. Maybe you feel anxious about taking the next step towards recovery and treatment, looking for help or even be embarrassed by it. Don’t stress – that’s pretty common.

No matter how alone you may feel, know that people truly care and want the best for you.

However, if someone is willing to listen, you may not be ready to share your story with them quite yet, and that is okay. Being ready and willing to get help can make all the difference in the world.

Support System

Having a support system is so important in life. Everyone needs people to encourage and help them when they struggle, and cheer for them when they succeed.

At Maple Mountain Recovery, you are our priority.

Regardless of what you are struggling with, whether it is mental health issues or substance abuse – we want to help you. Our goal is to get you through treatment with a strong recovery, and back to the life you deserve.

Not only that, but we want you to have a family here; and a community that you can lean on and trust.

We are very aware that things can be tough, and promise to be there for help and support every step of the way, even after you have completed treatment with us.

Home Away From Home

There is something special about a home, and having a place to call your own. Sometimes rehab facilities and addiction treatment centers can feel uncomfortable and less personable, with a get in – get out attitude.

We strive to make all of our clients feel welcome and aware that we are here solely to help them heal, no matter what it takes.

At Maple Mountain, we recognize that recovering from trauma and addiction can be a difficult process, and it requires vulnerability, and opening up.

Because of that, our staff works hard establish an environment that helps you feel comfortable and at home. There is supervision and structure to help you succeed and reach your goals.

Find Your People

We asked one of our alumni to describe their first impression at Maple Mountain:

“When I walked through the door I knew something was different. It wasn’t just a recovery facility, it was a home. The front room was full of laughter, and there was no moping around. It wasn’t a pity party. I had finally found my people, and I knew that being here was the best place for me.”

Several members of our staff have gone through treatment for trauma or substance abuse as well. They understand what you are going through. They can relate to the pain you are feeling and share experiences that helped them get to where they are today.

Because we take in fewer clients than most centers, our rehabilitation setting is able to be more intimate. That intimacy allows us to create real and meaningful relationships on an individual basis with one another.

Those relationships will make a big difference in your life after treatment, and you will have lasting friendships from your time here.

Treatment

Our treatment process is set up to best help treat those who suffer from mental health issues, trauma, and addiction. Our staff is trained to recognize and treat the challenges you may face by incorporating holistic treatment concepts, starting with the brain.

There are numerous cases of substance abuse where the addiction is caused by an underlying event or traumatic experience that leads a shift in behavior.

Our Clinical Director uses treatment to focus on finding the root of the problem that instigated this shift and heal the underlying issues, making the positive changes in behavior easier to instill.

There are several different methods available at our facility, such as Neurofeedback and a Serenity BioSound Lounge.

Neurofeedback sends biofeedback to the brain directly. It addresses brain disregulation, such as anxiety and depression, sleep disorders, and emotional disturbances. It can be a huge help in self-regulation and strengthening brain function.

The Serenity BioSound Lounge helps clients manage withdrawal symptoms through music therapy and guided imagery, among other things.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is another important treatment method that clients undergo. It focuses on changing distorted thinking and self-hatred.

Programs

Along with treatments, we also have several different programs and activities available such as yoga, sweat lodge, art, group and family therapies.

In a sweat lodge ceremony, you confront your trauma in a safe way. This helps you find healing safe from distractions from the outer world.

Recreational therapy is also key for optimal healing, and there are several options to choose from. Activities include bowling, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, weight lifting, rock wall climbing and more.

We place emphasis on healthy living skills and nutrition to help clients learn to care for their physical health and provide for loved ones.

Teaching mindfulness and resilience training are also key factors in our program. Mindfulness helps heal the brain, and learn healthy coping strategies as well as creating a feeling of relaxation. Resilience training helps with recovering quickly after stress or trauma.

There are many different programs and activities available at Maple Mountain for you to try and experience as you go through treatment.

Alumni Program

As mentioned earlier, staying involved in your life after you have completed treatment is really important to us. Watching our clients grow and experience new things in their lives is so rewarding, and we love being a part of it.

We have an incredible alumni program in place, with different and events and activities that go on to help everyone stay connected.

There are Alumni Coordinators and Directors who work with those who have graduated from our program every day to check in and plan events.

Several of our alumni have mentioned that our alumni program is a large factor thats set us apart from other Treatment Centers.

“Maple Mountain Recovery has the most family feel to it which is what helped me open up and share my real feelings that I always just tucked away. The staff is amazing. Thank you Maple Mountain for still being in my life today, 9 months clean.” – B. Daniel

Life After Treatment

Once you have made it through treatment, you finally get that fresh start you have been waiting for. Take advantage of it, and work to create new habits to keep you from falling into old patterns.

There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach for treatment, recovery or your life afterward. Feel things out and find something that you are passionate about, and give yourself a reason to get up and keep going every morning.

It is important to know that some days may be harder than others, and remember to be patient. As you grow through treatment and your personal experiences, you will be able to establish a more healthy lifestyle for yourself and head in a new positive direction.

One day your experiences and trials may put you in a place where you are able to help someone else who is struggling.

“Look for something positive in each day, even if some days you have to look a little harder.” – Unknown

There is no need to wait for your fresh start when you can take the first step towards recovery right now. You deserve to make a change. We are here for you, and always ready to help!
